ICICI Bank Releases New Apps to Improve Customer Service

By Kasey Schefflin-Emrich, TMCnet Contributing Writer

Indian multinational banking and financial services company ICICI Bank has launched two new mobile banking apps that are intended to help improve customer service.

The apps, iLoans and iTrack, will enable all customers to easily access their information without having to call the bank or personally visiting a branch.

iLoans allows customers who have a home, auto, commercial vehicle or personal loan with the ICICI Bank to conveniently access loan-related information directly from their mobile devices. They will be able to view details on their outstanding balance, last five transactions, disbursement and EMI and payment schedule. Additionally, users of the app can generate an IT certificate and obtain information on the nearest loan servicing branch.

iTrack lets customers track the status of dispatches sent to them by the Bank such as statements, letters and check books for their savings, current, loan or demat accounts. They can track them through using either their account number or airway bill number.

Some of the features of iTrack include the ability to view previously searched deliverables through the History option, the ability to add a deliverable as a Favorite so that app users can have quick access to track it in the future and direct access to Bank call center numbers in the event that customers need immediate help.

Both iLoans and iTrack can be downloaded on Android (News - Alert) and iOS devices.

The apps join numerous other technology-based services offered by the Bank aimed to enhance customer service. This includes Touch Banking branches which are open 24/7 and helps customers conduct various banking transactions and provides account-related information through the use of Internet baking and video conferring.

Other services are Tab Banking, which allows potential customers to open a bank account from the comfort of their home or the office; Pockets by ICICI Bank, which gives customers the ability to carry out non-financial and financial transactions on Facebook (News - Alert); and iMobile, the Bank's mobile banking application, for Windows phones.
