UK Medical Company Ferno Invests in Customer Service Center

By TMCnet Staff

While many enterprises in the U.S. are opening new customer service centers that house all manner of brand representatives, one company across the Atlantic pond recently participated in the ribbon cutting of its new customer experience center.

According to analysis of the news at the Huddersfield Examiner, U.K.-based medical equipment company Ferno recently opened a new customer experience center that will be located at its headquarters in Cleckheaton, U.K. The center reportedly will exist to show off Ferno's medical products through interactive product demonstrations and will provide additional education opportunities through the form of seminars and group trainings.

The official opening was marked by two company officers who visited from the U.S.: Elroy Bourgraf, the company founder and chairman, and Joe Bourgraf, the company CEO. The managing director of Ferno U.K., Jon Ellis, spoke about the honor of seeing the pair at the ribbon-cutting.

"It is a great honor that Elroy and Joe made this visit to open the centre for us," Ellis said.

"We would also like to thank all our guests who helped us celebrate the opening of the center," he continued. "We feel this is a unique story. We have a state-of-the-art centre which will be used to showcase some exciting future product innovations."

The Ferno website lists the numerous products the company creates. It manufactures products for emergency crews, mortuary technicians, aviation, military, and other segments of the emergency and rescue professions.

For the medical professionals that operate in non-combat areas such as hospitals and urgent care centers or for EMS units that operate out of mobile emergency vehicles, Ferno makes cots, backboards, stretchers, cervical collars, medical boxes, and trauma bags, among many other products. It even manufactures immobilization units for emergency pediatric care.

Soldiers in the battlefield often have different needs than those of hospitals, and for those individuals, Ferno makes evacuation products such as backboards and litter arms, immobilization products such as c-collars, and other life support systems such as oxygen regulators and O2 (News - Alert) vessels. It markets such military products as "tough, combat proven products" that are suited for any battlefield.

The latest announcement, regarding the opening of the customer experience center, notes that Ferno exports products to 95 countries across the globe. It operates as part of a network of medical device makers that combine to produce all manner of patient handling equipment.
