LCG Announces Award of National Institute of General Medical Sciences IT Operations ContractLCG, a leading provider of innovative grants management and technology solutions to federal agencies, today announced that it has been awarded a new contract from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS), one of the 27 institutes and centers that make up the National Institutes of Health, the principal biomedical research agency of the United States Government. The contract has a value of more than $4.9 million over a three-year period. Under the new contract, LCG will work directly with NIGMS to provide a comprehensive IT infrastructure and help desk support services for virtually all phases of the institute's IT operations, ranging from servers and switches to desktops and mobile devices. As part of the overall strategy to provide NIGMS with a modernized IT infrastructure, LCG will consult with the institute to recommend new technologies and processes that would most benefit its operations and best support its mission. These new technologies will align with federal IT initiatives such as Open Government, Cloud First, and the Federl Enterprise Architecture.
