Cardoch Joins HDR as National Coastal Resiliency Director


(ENP Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ENP Newswire - 19 October 2014 Release date- 17102014 - Lynette Cardoch, Ph.D., LEED AP, has joined HDR as national coastal resiliency director.

Based in the Denver office, her responsibilities include leading the strategic development of HDR's resiliency practice in the coastal zone. She will also lead development and coordination of technical resources in a variety of areas, including climate change and resiliency in coastal areas, impacts on natural and built ecosystems, adaptation strategies for sea level rise and habitat restoration.



Prior to joining HDR, Dr. Cardoch was a vice president with MWH Americas, Inc. She is a coastal ecologist with more than 20 years of experience in regulatory/policy water issues, coastal restoration and sustainability.

She holds a bachelor's degree in biological anthropology from Harvard College, a master's degree in marine affairs and policy from the Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science, University of Miami, and a doctoral degree in oceanography and coastal sciences from Louisiana State University, where she was also a Board of Regents graduate fellow. She was also a Fulbright scholar at the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona in Bellaterra, Spain.


Among her professional society affiliations, she was a board member of the Harvard/Zofnass Sustainable Infrastructure advisor board. She has presented or moderated at numerous conferences and has authored articles for peer-reviewed journals and other publications.
