This alliance enables end users to turn any push button telephone into their own virtual payment processing terminal by leveraging Fundtech’s TotalTransact credit card gateway technology.
ITG provides intelligent voice response solutions and Fundtech specializes in delivering global transaction banking solutions.
“Our partnership with ITG provides a valuable convenience to end-users, and therefore helps the merchants who use it to be the preferred provider,” said Danne Buchanan, Fundtech’s executive vice president.
Users of the IVR Pay-by-Phone virtual terminal leverage Fundtech’s Total Transact credit card gateway to pay bills via credit/debit card or eCheck, and have the transaction processed and completed in real-time.
The combined solution is already becoming popular and is currently being used by Newton, Kansas- based Newton Medical Center. Melanie Hanna, its patient services director, told the companies that its patients now have a fast and convenient way to pay their medical bills by using the ITG-Fundtech solution.
“We are excited that this partnership will allow us to continue to grow opportunities together. It will also reduce costs associated with PCI (News - Alert) DSS and costs of a live agent handling those electronic payments over the phone,” said Mike Byrne CEO of ITG.
Fundtech was in news earlier this year for introducing the Global Liquidity & Risk Management solution, which can address the changing needs of banks.
