Nuance Intros Voice Recognition Software for Mac

Nuance (News - Alert) Communications is enabling people to create and edit content, and command and control their favorite Mac applications by voice and IVR capabilities. Dragon Dictate for Mac 3 all these tasks to be accomplished anytime, anywhere in a quick and easy manner.


Touted to be the most powerful, accurate and personalized voice recognition software for the Mac available on the market today, Dragon Dictate for Mac 3 enables Mac users to simply speak to see their words instantly captured in real time on their screen.

This newly released version of Dictate includes a range of features such as new Smart Format Rules and new correction capabilities for a personalized experience. Dragon Dictate for Mac 3 also includes wideband Bluetooth support and the ability to transcribe recorded audio files from a single speaker.

“We’ve been incredibly focused on bringing new features and increased accuracy to this latest version of Dragon Dictate so Mac users can experience the accuracy, speed and productivity that results from speaking instead of typing,” said Peter Mahoney, chief marketing officer for Nuance and senior vice president, general manager, Dragon.

Delivering a 15 percent improvement to out-of-the-box accuracy when compared to Version 2.5, Dragon Dictate for Mac 3 enables users to get more done in less time. The solution is available for pre-order immediately starting at $199.99.

Nuance Communications (News - Alert) provides voice and language solutions for businesses and consumers around the world. The company was in news earlier this month for rolling out its virtual assistant for mobile customer service apps, Nina.
