Automated calls are an excellent way for businesses of all sizes to manage human resources, directing operators in call centers to prioritize on detailed calls while allowing more routine informational calls to be handled by a machine. Of course, today's machines can do much more than simply replay a pre-recorded voice, with groups like Aculab (News - Alert) offering state-of-the-art text-to-speech (TTS) programs capable of delivering almost any piece of information. Acculab has recently announced expanded TTS capabilities by including a third TTS engine powered by IVONA Software.
Aculab is already a seasoned and proven provider of telecom products for the global communications market, and this new addition to the Aculab Cloud communications platform will offer call centers a broad host of call management options. Because the service is cloud-based, businesses can access the platform from any location with only a small monthly fee, without having to own or operate any of the necessary TTS server equipment. That means that this is an excellent solution for businesses of all sizes, from large enterprises to the tiniest one-man businesses.
IVONA's TTS system is best used for calls that are simply placed to provide information to a customer, as there are no Interactive Voice Response (IVR) capabilities associated with the program. While Aculab already offered TTS services, the IVONA software allows for much clearer pronunciation in a variety of over 20 different languages. As Aculab Director of Sales and Marketing David Samuel noted, “Our prime objective is to make it easier for people to add telephony or use telephony to aid their business workflows. By adding our third TTS engine we have given our customers even more choice and flexibility. Furthermore, we are making business automation viable and affordable to both enterprises and SMBs.”
