BRS Labs to Host SCADA Control Systems Event in Conjunction with SANS Security Training

HOUSTON --(Business Wire)--

Behavioral Recognition Systems, Inc. (BRS Labs), creator of AISight®, the artificial intelligence analytics solution that teaches itself to recognize and alert on unexpected patterns within massive volumes of sensor data, announced today that it is hosting a SCADA control systems event in conjunction with the SANS Industrial Control Systems (ICS) training this week. This event will bring individuals in the control systems industry together with attendees of the week-long SANS ICS training to network and learn more about the latest technology making waves in the SCADA industry.

AISight for SCADA helps control room operators recognize abnormal, unusual or unexpected conditions in energy production and other SCADA-enabled facilities as they develop, rather than when alarms go off. This new approach to SCADA gives operators insights into rapidly changing conditions that were previously impossible to achieve.

"We believe AISight for SCADA is a game changer in the control systems industry and we're excited to share it with those in the community," said Keith Drummond, Executive Vice President of Sales for BRS Labs. "SANS is well known in the industrial control systems world and we are proud to host this event in conjunction with their ICS Houston training."

AISight for SCADA is part of BRS Labs' AISight Everywhere™ platform, a centralized system with modules for intelligent video analytics, intelligent alerting and operations assistance for SCADA, network security, Big Data analytics, building services and other core business functions.

"The importance of equipping engineers and Cybersecurity professionals with the knowledge, methods, and tools that they need to address cyber threats to automation and control systems cannot be understated," said Mike Assante, SANS Director - ICS & SCADA. "We are pleased to have BRS Labs' support of our ICS Training."

The event will take place following the SANS ICS training on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at the Westin Memorial City. If you are in the control systems community and are interested in attending the event, please go to www.brslabs.com/024 to register.
