[24]7 Appoints Andrew Johnson as Vice President, Data Center and Cloud Infrastructure

In this role, Johnson is responsible for leading the NetOps team, overseeing data centers, networking, site reliability engineering (SRE), the Network Operations Center (NOC), and deployment automation.

Johnson joins [24]7 from Twitter where he led the company's global data center engineering team to design, build and operate data centers during heavy pre-IPO growth demands. In that role, he doubled the company's data center footprint while maintaining exceptionally high reliability. He established a culture of technical review and adherence to process, to ensure zero data center related outages in 24 months. He drove class-leading efficiency through automation and improvements, doubling supported infrastructure while keeping headcount flat.

Prior to Twitter, Johnson held leadership positions at Yahoo and Google, where he scaled his teams and drove significant improvements in uptime and efficiecy. Johnson has a B.S.E.E. in Electrical Engineering from Tennessee Technological University.
