ACEDS launches first-ever international chapter in UK


MIAMI, Aug. 17, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists (ACEDS), a BARBRI Professional Association, today announced the debut of its United Kingdom Chapter, the first ACEDS Chapter established outside the United States.

The U.K. Chapter will hold its Launch Party Thursday, 29th September 2016, 18:00 – 21:00 at The Gherkin, 30 St Mary Axe, London EC3A 8EP.  The event will be sponsored by FRONTEO. Learn more at ACEDS UK Chapter.

The U.K. chapter formation furthers ACEDS' commitment to building a global community of eDiscovery specialists to exchange ideas, guidance, training and best practices. Like U.S. chapters, the U.K. Chapter will promote eDiscovery competence and professional development. The chapter's Board f Directors consists of well-known eDiscovery experts:



Steve Buddell, President, is leader of the eDiscovery Team in London, part of the Herbert Smith Freehills Alternative Legal Services business, delivering legal products and services for information-intensive defined process legal work, aligning with the requirements of HSF practice groups across disputes and transactions.

Nicola Milton, Vice President, is an eDiscovery Executive at Herbert Smith Freehills. Her experience within the Forensic Technology industry began at SLA Digital Forensics, then followed with a move to the BDO Forensic Services Department.


James MacGregor, Membership Director, oversees FRONTEO's European operations. With a background in both U.S. and U.K. eDisclosure, his focus is on large multi-jurisdictional matters counseling clients on navigating legal, cultural and technological hurdles in cross-border cases.

Andreea Mohan, Public Relations Director, is Practice Support Manager at Taylor Wessing LLP. She advises clients on disclosure obligations, preservation, retrieval and organisation of documents and data to facilitate reviews for disclosure and investigatory or regulatory purposes.

Robert Kenny, Secretary, is an eDiscovery Specialist with worldwide experience in helping corporations and government deal with Information Governance and eDiscovery issues. Robert is a trusted authority and public speaker with over 15 years' experience in Information Management and eDiscovery.

Amit Pandit, Treasurer, is MD at Apt Search & Selection, a recruitment firm fully dedicated to eDiscovery and Information Governance. He offers more than 10 years of recruitment and headhunting experience.
