Ariba Commerce Summits 2014: Disrupt and Innovate

SUNNYVALE, Calif. --(Business Wire)--

You're connected. You tap into social networks to manage your personal connections and activities. You're mobile. You use apps on your phone and tablet to discover and collaborate with your peers and trading partners. But are you harnessing the connectivity and insights of business networks to help your company buy better? Sell more? Manage your cash with greater efficiency? On October 2, Ariba, an SAP (News - Alert) Company, will kick off the 2014 Ariba Commerce Summits, a global event series designed to help companies unleash the power of business networks to enable new insights and processes that drive innovation and competitive advantage.

"Business networks are the most efficient, effective way to discover, connect and collaborate with a global network of partners and transact business. And they're changing the way that business is done," said Tim Minahan, CMO, SAP Cloud. "The 2014 Ariba Commerce Summits are unique one-day forums through which companies can learn how to leverage the insights and intelligence of entire communities to break down the barriers to collaboration and fuel new ways of operating that transform their business in ways never thought possible."

Through dynamic keynote presentations, interactive panel discussions and informal networking forums, the Ariba Commerce Summits will provide executives and practitioners across procurement, finance, AP/ treasury, legal, IT and sales and marketing with the intelligence and insights needed to find the right partners and optimize their spend and supply chain. To engage with customers when, how and where they want to be engaged to increase satisfaction and wallet share. And to see the future and proactively shape it to their advantage by anticipating risks and trends in the market and developing plans to execute on them before anyone else.

Attendees will also learn how to enable new processes that are only possible in a networked environment to get - and stay - ahead of the competition. Processes like dynamic discounting that allow them to better manage their cash and fuel the growth and development of their business. Or contingent workforce management through which they can identify and manage highly-specialized resources needed to develop that next-generation product. Or spot buying where they can fid and instantly buy those one-off, time sensitive items needed to run their business in accordance with their purchasing processes and procedures.

The series kicks off October 2 in Boston and will continue with events in New York (October 7), Mexico City (October 9), Chicago (October 14), San Mateo (October 16), Amsterdam (October 23), Paris (October 28), Atlanta (November 6), Toronto (November 11) and Sao Paulo (November 20).

Last year's Commerce Summits sold out. Be sure not to miss this year's events. Register today at http://www.ariba.com/customers/events/2014-ariba-commerce-summits
