Workplace Systems to Unveil Mobile Collaborative Scheduling at NRF 2015

Workplace Systems, a leading global provider of smart scheduling and intelligent forecasting products, today announced the launch of their next-generation software platform - optimized to help customer-facing businesses drive revenue.

The new mobile product will debut at the 104th annual National Retail Federation (NRF) EXPO-Retail's BIG Show-held January 11-13 at the Javits Center in New York City. During the show, Workplace CEO David Farquhar will also host a Big !deas session, where he will share actionable insights for driving revenue with smart schedules, along with customer Wireless Vision.

Workplace is a SaaS (News - Alert) product that helps mid-sized businesses create workforce schedules that support both employee work/life balance and business growth. More engaged employees provide better customer service, which leads to increased sales.

The Workplace product is designed to enable retailers and other customer-facing service providers to promote employee engagement through a collaborative scheduling process. It empowers store managers to build schedules based on local conditions and increase customer service levels.

The new easy-to-use mobile application gives employees the ability to access their current work schedules from anywhere, any time, manage their upcoming availability, swap shifts and bid for open shifts.

"Employees want a voice in the scheduling process," said David Farquhar, CEO of Workplace. "Our products enable retailers to create collborative schedules that give employees more predictability and control over their shifts and reduce the amount of time managers spend in the back office, rather than with customers."

Workplace has also unveiled Smart Schedule Assessment, a free tool which shows the opportunity for improvement that collaborative scheduling can deliver.

"Workplace has enabled us to engage our employees in the scheduling process, while improving the organization's ability to put the right people in the right place at the right time," said Dawn Bernick, Director of Operations at Wireless Vision, a wireless telecommunications provider with more than 200 locations across the Midwestern U.S. "Our sales associates are happier with the process and that translates to happier customers."

On Tuesday afternoon, Dawn Bernick will join David Farquhar on stage for his Big !deas session, where together they will discuss how collaborative scheduling practices can boost employee engagement and activate intelligent forecasting to maximize conversions.
