RADCOM, a provider of customer experience management software for telecom operators, recently announced that it has extended its relationship with a tier 1 telecom in South America by upgrading that operator's software package in a deal worth more than $4 million.
The operator went unnamed, but the news release said it has long used the RADCOM Omni-Q software and will now upgrade to the MaveriQ package. This is indicative of, more than anything, the operator's confidence in the software and the reality that fixed and mobile networks are expanding throughout the country RADCOM's Vice President of Products and Marketing Eyal Harari points out.
“Our accelerating sales momentum confirms that RADCOM's MaveriQ is ideal for today's high speed, fast expanding networks,” Harari said. “This repeat deal is a vote of confidence in the software-based MaveriQ solution. We are happy to see more and more Tier1 operators taking advantage of RADCOM's powerful offering.”
MaveriQ software, TMC (News - Alert) pointed out earlier this year, is RADCOM's latest development that seeks to provide telecoms with visibility into all parts of their networks. As such, it can manage 4G LTE (News - Alert), VoLTE, and LTE-Advanced connections -- all of which may be part of the South American operator's offerings. The announcement indicates that the client owns both fixed and mobile infrastructure.
RADCOM insists that its product is geared for quick deployment which is a definite benefit to any operator seeking to build up its own network or switch from a legacy provider. The software allows for monitoring of networks in such a way that it can assist with customer monitoring and troubleshooting problems as they occur. It is able to provide a complete picture of various networks as they become live to customers, so the minute customers begin to receive service is the minute telecoms can peer into their networks to make desired changes.
