A leading provider of telecom management and hosted monitoring tools has announced two new solutions: an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) monitoring system and call center/telecom load testing.
TelcoAlert's advanced monitoring services ensure continuous uptime while testing for interruptions to service and other potential issues, notifying the client as soon as a problem is detected. In addition, the company triple checks the IVR system with multiple telecom carriers to prevent false positives.
The system uses a proprietary adaptive matching system to eliminate the impact of line quality and changes in speech on how IVR prompts are interpreted. Using speech synthesis, DTMF tones and speech recognition to interact with IVR systems, TelcoAlert is able to precisely measure and report what is actually being delivered by call center applications. These reports are archived online with a fully featured control panel with management tools, and include audio recordings of all phone calls made with the system.
The technology core used for TelcoAlert's 24/7 monitoring system also serves as the basis for IVR and Call Center load testing, which tests phone systems to find the limits of typical call volume or its breaking point. This allows the client to identify bottlenecks and prevent any resulting problems during peak business hours. TelcoAlert uses pre-defined scripts to dial as many as 10,000 calls connected to an IVR system, navigate the customer-defined menu tree, authenticate with credentials and stay on hold as long as needed.
"TelcoAlert's goal is to educate customers on the benefits of cost-effective IVR monitoring and load testing solutions for even the smallest companies," said Randy Pollestad, president and CEO of TelcoAlert. "Up until now, load testing was so cost-prohibitive that it was out of reach for most small businesses. We routinely work with companies who receive newly provisioned lines from major telecom carriers that are misconfigured or don't allow the promised call capacity. Load testing helps identify these problems before the lines go into production, allowing your business to provide a more reliable experience for your customers."
TelcoAlert's simple IVR monitoring system is available with a free trial and an automated signup process that allows monitoring to begin almost immediately. This service starts at $0.02 while load testing tools begin at $0.25 per call. Neither service requires setup fees, but they include a dedicated one-on-one engineer to work with the client through the entire process.
