Avtex has extended its customer relationship management (CRM) strategy this week through the acquisition of Webfortis, a Microsoft Dynamics CRM provider based in San Francisco. According to Avtex CEO George Demou, Webfortis aligns well with Avtex because it is built around a strong partnership with Microsoft and a dedication to maintaining its technological edge.
"We are very excited to join forces with Webfortis, which has built a great business around Microsoft Dynamics CRM and is recognized as the industry thought leader in CRM," said Demou of the acquisition. "This acquisition is a good fit for both organizations, and it helps round out Avtex's vision of helping our customers achieve a ubiquitous approach to customer experience technologies."
Avtex is a customer experience technology deployment and consulting company, a Microsoft Gold Partner and Interactive Intelligence Platinum Elite Partner. Last year, the company received the Interactive Intelligence Chairman’s Award at the INTERACTIONS conference, an industry event at which Interactive Intelligence awards its top performing business partners. The Chairman’s Award is given to the partners that has excelled in the past year in terms of financial success, marketing efforts, technical product knowledge and product support.
Webfortis is a developer of enterprise CRM software that famously teamed up with Microsoft last year to collaborate on the development of an Apple Watch app for the Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Parature customer service software platforms.
The acquisition of Webfortis is expected to provide Avtex with “additional resources, support and custom application development to further leverage the Microsoft Dynamics CRM platform.” The Microsoft Dynamics CRM platform provides a centralized database that puts account management and workflow tools within easy reach of anyone in an organization. Avtex has been upfront about its belief that unique CRM solutions are integral to a complete CX technology strategy.
"Webfortis has a proven track record of enabling customer success in productive help desk, customer self-service, and employee self-service scenarios powered by Microsoft," commented Bill Patterson, general manager of Customer Service at Microsoft. "The additional focus on customer experience alongside the expertise in contact centers positions Avtex incredibly well to help businesses deliver the exceptional customer service critical to succeed in today's economy."
