Mavatar Technologies Joins Sharp Electronic To Bring mCart Shop-able Walls To The Masses

By CustomerZone360 Staff March 14, 2019

Menlo Park, CA, March 14, 2019 — Omnichannel commerce company Mavatar joins electronics manufacturer Sharp’s Strategic Technology Alliance Resource (STAR). Mavatar will use its flagship product mCart on Sharp interactive displays to create mCart Shop-able Walls.

Consumers will be able to search local or universal mCart inventories and shop branded mCart omnichannel marketplaces via interactive displays using the mCart Shop-able Wall, a digital shopping kiosk that lets consumers browse retailers’ inventories and create smart and omnichannel shopping carts that they can use to buy with online delivery and in-store pickup.

mCart Shop-able Walls will appear on Sharp’s 70” PN-L705H Ultra-HD interactive touch screen displays at major tradeshows in 2019. As a Sharp STAR Alliance company, mCart will be positioned as a turn-key solution (vending machine for shopping) to potential customers such as malls, airports, promenades, hotels and other public places where shoppers can check the location-based or universal inventories and communicate with sales reps at stores to close the gap between online and offline commerce.

Imagine you are at the airport on a short business trip with no extra outfit when you spill the coffee on your white shirt 30 minutes before boarding. If the airport had an mCart Shop-able Wall, you could search for a white shirt in all the airport stores, filter based on your price range, see trends, influencers’ curated mCarts, automatic coupons, popularity, lookalikes and order it to be delivered to your gate before boarding!

Imagine you are going to the mall to buy an outfit for your Valentine’s Day dinner. You approach the Shop-able Wall to search the mall for the perfect red dress, black shoes and matching jewelry, but there is a line in front of the Wall. You scan the Wall’s QR code and browse your options sitting in the mall’s coffee shop. While sipping on a latte, you find and place on hold all the stuff you want at three stores. You can then go to the stores and buy those items which will be waiting for you. If something happens and you have to leave the mall in the middle of shopping, you can carry your shopping mCart home and purchase the items later. The Shop-able Wall operator and influencers who created featured mCarts still receive commission even if you buy those products online.

Imagine going to a concert or red carpet event where fans can shop their favorite artists’ wardrobes, songs, and merchandise on Shop-able Walls at venues.

Imagine movie theaters that can put Shop-able Walls in lobbies for theatergoers to shop content from the films they just watched.

“The potential uses of mCart Shop-able Walls are practically limitless,” said Steve Brauner, Sr. Product Manager of Sharp’s Professional Display Division. “With our interactive display technology, we are always looking for the best content and applications that can provide a lucrative business model, data or user engagement for the operators that are buying them from us. mCart addresses all of the above objectives.”

“Shop-able Walls on Sharp Interactive Displays are perfect for anywhere that people are being influenced by content. Airports, hotels, residential complex squares can all use the Shop-able Walls to engage visitors, keep in touch with them after they leave, and build loyalty,” Steve Brauner added.

Mavatar President Dr. Brom Mahbod said, “Our inclusion in the Sharp STAR program presents a tremendous opportunity to expand the reach of the mCart to connected shopping, aggregating localized inventories and realize contextual commerce. Shop-able Walls provide customers with a turn-key solution. With a major industry player like Sharp’s’ support, we can provide consumers an optimal omnichannel and connected shopping experience, where the proximity of the product and fast decisions matter.”
