Genesys Cloud Secures StateRAMP Approval, Unlocks AI-Powered Citizen Experiences

By Greg Tavarez December 27, 2023

Earlier this year, Genesys Cloud, a platform for managing customer experiences, received a crucial security authorization from the U.S. government. The Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program, or FedRAMP, certification signifies that Genesys Cloud meets rigorous security standards for protecting sensitive data, allowing agencies to confidently migrate citizen-facing operations to the cloud.

The certification simply means Genesys Cloud is officially secure enough for the U.S. government to use, and government agencies use Genesys Cloud to improve how they interact with citizens. Genesys Cloud offers a comprehensive suite of capabilities that empower government agencies to leverage advanced conversational A, streamline workflows and reduce manual workload through AI-powered automation, gain real-time insights and actionable data and benefit from Genesys Cloud's robust security architecture, to name a few.

This move aligns with a growing trend in the public sector, as over two-thirds of customer experience leaders in government are reportedly seeking integrated platforms to enhance service delivery, according to Genesys.

Also, Peter Graf, Chief Strategy and Operations Officer, Genesys, will be a keynote speaker at ITEXPO 2024, also taking place February 13-15, 2024, in Fort Lauderdale Florida.

Now, building on its FedRAMP certification, Genesys recently announced that its Genesys Cloud platform achieved authorization under the State Risk and Authorization Management Program, or StateRAMP, at the Moderate Impact Level.

StateRAMP is a collaborative effort between the National Association of State Chief Information Officers, the National Governors Association and the Federal CIO Council established to streamline and standardize cloud security assessments for state and local governments.

This milestone unlocks new possibilities for U.S. state and local government agencies seeking to modernize their customer experiences while adhering to stringent security standards.

"Many state and local government agencies are challenged to deliver the service consumers expect today while stretching their limited resources and protecting their customers' data,” said Olivier Jouve, EVP and Chief Product Officer at Genesys. “With StateRAMP Authorization, Genesys Cloud can expand its support to more government organizations by offering a solution that helps them modernize their infrastructure and use AI and automation to build stronger relationships with their customers.”

By achieving StateRAMP authorization, Genesys Cloud demonstrates its commitment to meeting the rigorous security requirements of government agencies, paving the way for broader adoption within the public sector.
