Pictory Introduces Simple Script-to-Video Converter for Content Marketers

By Tracey E. Schelmetic February 07, 2024

Video is a powerful component of content marketing, and market research has found that 80% of respondents prefer videos over written text or audio. Of course, video creation is no small feat; it frequently involves expertise and technology that is outside the research of many small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).

So, AI video creation platform company Pictory recently announced a new feature that will help users create short, animated videos with the help of artificial intelligence. Thanks to a new feature built on Pictory GPT, the platform provides an easy to use script-to-video converter. Users could, for example, feed a simple idea like "create a video about preventing climate change that is one to two minutes long" to the platform, and the Pictory will use the information to create a video of the requisite length in minutes.

In addition to the GPT component, Pictory is offering a variety of new user-friendly features designed to support small business and enterprise marketing teams. Other new elements include the availability of additional languages for video narration, and a feature that will turn PowerPoint presentations into professional-looking videos in minutes. In its news release, the company said it plans to release new features throughout the rest of 2024, following Pictory's 2023 collaborations with Getty Images and ElevenLabs text-to-speech software.

The goal of Pictory GPT is to make it easier for businesses to create professional videos that engage and inform their audiences. With Pictory, corporate teams can produce and share professional videos in minutes without hiring video editors or learning how to use complex video editing software. Pictory is transforming the way businesses communicate through video by turning written content into professional videos effortlessly — in the same way that Canva transformed graphic design and content creation, said the company in a statement.

"Our mission at Pictory is to democratize video creation for an even more seamless creation experience,” said Pete Bennett, Head of Growth at Pictory AI. “What sets Pictory apart is our commitment to creating a user-friendly experience. It's not just a video editing tool, we're breaking down barriers and making video creation accessible to everyone and our continual evolution will continue to keep Pictory at the forefront of AI-powered video creation."
