Five9 Announces New Data Centers in India, Achieves UL VNO Licensing

By Tracey E. Schelmetic October 17, 2024

Customer experience (CX) solutions provider Five9 recently announced the expanded availability of its solutions in India with the addition of two new Five9 Data Centers in Delhi and Mumbai. The new data center facilities will reportedly support both local and multi-national enterprises powering more effective in-region CX strategies.

Additionally, Five9 announced it has achieved Department of Telecommunications (DOT) Unified License (Virtual Network Operator) (UL VNO) licensing to provide Access Services, National Long Distance and International Long Distance in India. The licensing will allow Five9 to partner with local carriers and ISPs in India to offer both telephony and network connectivity within the region.

With the company’s expanded availability in India, Five9 customers are now able to leverage a single platform to support multiple India calling regions. Additionally, Five9 customers can leverage Five9 as their primary telecommunications provider, or leverage their existing in-country telco service with the Five9’s BYOC (Bring Your Own Carrier) solution. The BYOC option allows users to dial out from a Five9 Cloud Contact Center to PSTN numbers such as landline phones, mobile phones and audio bridges, eliminating the need for a separate telephone in the conference room.

With faster implementation and support in the region, Five9 customers can quickly optimize their customer experience strategies to scale operations, drive brand value and bolster reliability in the region, noted the company in the announcement.

“Our expanded offering in India is pivotal in supporting global AI-powered customer experience strategies for multi-national enterprises worldwide,” Andy Dignan, COO of Five9, in a statement. “By enhancing our data center presence and establishing local carrier partnerships, we are enabling seamless and efficient customer interactions across the region. This expansion underscores our commitment to delivering robust, reliable solutions that drive digital transformation and operational efficiency, ensuring our customers can optimize their CX strategies with speed and reliability.”
